Senior Connection provides services to older Americans that allows them to live at home longer, with independence. They wanted to rebrand their website to match their recent name and logo change from Central Massachusetts Agency on Aging to Senior Connection. Their design agency, Pagano Media, contracted me to design a homepage that was clean and modern. The website would be launched in WordPress using the Salient theme page builder, so I aligned the design with the sections and elements of the theme. The secret to a minimal design is to seed a few surprises among the restraint. The flat color rollovers on the stat row provide an unexpected delight. The bold orange-blue gradient behind the podcast panel excites the eye. The judicious use of thin icons adds a human voice to the sans-serif font. And throughout the design, the photographs are windows where the care and empathy shine through.
